10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (6 Sept)

1. Triple H Thought CM Punk's Ass Was "Too Big & Soft"

File this one away for a rainy day.

Jim Ross tut-tutted on his 'Grilling JR' show as he recalled Triple H's justification for canning CM Punk's initial push in WWE. The bodybuilding-obsessed 'Game' offered up that Punk's ass was "too big and too soft" to make him a sustainable headliner in the promotion. That's...well, it's something nobody would've predicted.

Not liking someone's skill set or personality is one thing, but throwing out comments about the size of their butt is another level of ridiculousness altogether. Assuming this actually happened (Jim swore down that it did), then it's sheer wrestling fact gold. Triple H, for whatever reason, was hyper-critical of Punk's arse.

JR theorised that maybe Trips didn't think Punk would look good on an 8x10 picture or on posters. Quite why his posterior would have any affect on merch sales is anyone's guess. Keep in mind, WWE once pushed Rikishi, a man who has 10x the ass Punk does.
