10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week

2. Vince McMahon Danced For Kelly Kelly

The image of Vince McMahon dancing and singing the song 'Stand Back' at the 1987 Slammy Awards ceremony will never leave many longtime wrestling fans. Written to express Vince's domination of the entire 'sports entertainment' industry, the tune entertained everyone with how pompous and brash it was. It turns out that's not the last time McMahon shook his hips. When Kelly Kelly was called up from WWE's developmental system in 2006, she was told of the gimmick company officials had in mind for her. As someone who didn't think she had any rhythm, Kelly was shocked to learn that the promotion wanted to cast her as a dancer, one who would strip and wasn't afraid to show her body. Obviously, this took place before WWE went 'PG' in 2008. Meeting with Vince McMahon, Kelly found it hard to stifle her laughter when the patriarch of the entire organisation demonstrated how he wanted her to dance. The mental image of Vincent Kennedy McMahon dancing 'sexy' for Kelly Kelly is ludicrous, but it actually happened during a WWE creative meeting.
