9. Manik Feels It's Time To Move On From Tragedy
Working as part of the match during which Perro Aguayo Jr would tragically pass away in the midst of, TNA star Manik was actually Aguayo's tag-team partner in the bout against Rey Mysterio and Xtreme Tiger. A cervical stroke and subsequent cardiac arrest, brought on by three fractured vertebrae in the man's neck, would later go down as the cause of death for Aguayo. Speaking candidly about the incident this week, Manik feels it's time to move on from the incident and respect the fact that Perro Aguayo's family are going through hell. Stating that whilst he doesn't wish to try and shine attention on himself, Manik reflected on the incident sadly, but says it'd do nobody any good to point fingers at any of the other performers who were working alongside Aguayo. It's fairly interesting that Manik would choose to come out and say this kind of thing, because there's still a lot of anger and confusion surrounding the tragedy, but it's true that directing that anger at Rey Mysterio and the other wrestlers involved in the match isn't doing anything positive, and Manik clearly feels it's better to remember the memory of Perro Aguayo, rather than lash out at others.
