3. Mick Foley Feels The Term 'Diva' Is Outdated
Mick Foley has always managed to foster great friendships with many of the WWE Divas, including the likes of Candice Michelle, Melina and Trish Stratus. Consistently joking that this is part of the 'old Foley charm', the Hall Of Fame inductee is still pretty vocal via social media regarding his thoughts on what's happening in the wrestling world. Recently, Foley chimed in with his feelings about the current WWE Divas division. Telling his followers that he feels the term 'Diva' is outdated, Foley also said that he feels the women under contract to WWE deserve more respect. These are intriguing words, certainly with all the furor surrounding the recent Twitter battle between Stephanie McMahon and AJ Lee, along with comments made during interviews by another Diva, Paige that women are overlooked in the promotion. In essence, Foley says he is agreeing with the words of Alundra Blayze, who didn't pull any punches during her own Hall Of Fame induction speech this year, clearly frustrated at the way female wrestling is portrayed on WWE television. Standing up for Blayze, Foley says it's now time to move on from the 'Diva' concept and show more respect to the females of the promotion.
