John Cena worked a more limited schedule than he ever has before in 2017. Following his mixed tag win at 'Mania 33 and proposal to Nikki Bella, Cena took significant time off from the promotion. Pursuing outside projects would become a theme of the year.

Limited schedule and all, Cena made a whopping $10 million from WWE coffers last year. Forbes revealed this by publishing their list of the highest-paid stars on company payroll, and there were a few other surprises hidden in there too.

The biggest of all? Cena made four times what The Undertaker did, and he earned more than double the pay of Roman Reigns.

'Taker pocketed $2.5 million, Reigns took home $4.3 and even other major stars like Brock Lesnar paled in comparison to Cena. The Universal Champ, who worked around 14 dates in 2017, made $6.5 million. That's $3.5 million less than John Cena.
