9. A Clothing Firm Forced WWE To Change The Iconic Duo

Billie Kay and Peyton Royce are no longer known as The Iconic Duo in WWE. Now they've moved up to the main roster and joined the SmackDown ranks, the team have been rebranded The IIconics. There's a reason for that: WWE don't own the copyright for their original name.

According to a filing on the US Patent and Trademark Office website, "Iconic Duo" belongs to a company called Iconic Duo LLC. They filed for the patent last year, and own the right to use that name for goods such as t-shirts, bath robes, athletic wear and multiple other clothing items.

This would have made it problematic for WWE to release a shirt for Kay and Royce, and that's why they've scrapped the moniker.

Another problem may arise with the new IIconics name though. Not only is it a nightmare for autocorrect, it also looks like the second capitalised 'i' is a lower-case 'l', making the name read (at first glance) like "ilconics". Oh well, at least they've been called up.
