10. Ricky Steamboat Confirms Son Is Unable To Wrestle

A few years ago, many wrestling fans may remember that there was a lot of positive talk about the future of Richie Steamboat. The son of the legendary Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat, Richie looked set to follow in the footsteps of his father, carving his own path in the pro wrestling landscape. Sadly, in the latter months of 2012 Steamboat's son would suffer a fairly major back injury, one which required immediate surgery to repair four herniated discs in his back. Undergoing the necessary procedure to heal his injuries, it's unfortunate that one of the brightest lights in WWE's developmental system hasn't been seen since. Recently, the man's father spoke out on the subject, solemnly breaking the news that Richie would not be able to wrestle again due to the injury and subsequent surgery to heal him up. Putting his son over, Steamboat stated that Richie would have been a big star in the industry, but now have to face up to reality.
