Since returning to WWE last Spring, Kurt Angle has worked four matches. Only one of those has happened away from pay-per-view, and that was a token six-man tag (Angle, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins vs. The Bar and Samoa Joe) on a house show in Birmingham, England. The others occurred at TLC, Survivor Series and WrestleMania 34.

Angle was disappointed with the latter pair.

During an interview with USA Today, Kurt admitted that a pulled quad muscle in one of his legs made moving around the ring more of a challenge than he anticipated. He'd learned to work around the issue by 'Mania, but Survivor Series felt like a massive letdown for the icon.

He was also dissatisfied with his role in the five-on-five match. Angle eliminated John Cena from the match before succumbing to a Triple H Pedigree and pin by Shane McMahon. That wasn't the main problem though; Kurt's frustrations came from feeling he did little with his 32 minutes of ring time, and he wished he'd done more.
