Tony Schiavone's 'What Happened When' podcast typically focuses on one NWA/WCW pay-per-view or special and analyses business around that time before launching into a full rundown of the card. This week, Tony (and co-host Conrad Thompson) did something completely different.

For the first time ever, Schiavone sat down to watch a full ECW pay-per-view.

Starting right back at the beginning, the pair gave an alternate commentary on 1997's Barely Legal show, and Tony revealed he'd never watched more than a few minutes of ECW action before Monday. In fact, the only thing he'd witnessed was one of The Sandman's famous entrance routines on YouTube.

That was it. No Taz vs. Sabu matches, no Brian Pillman "Loose Cannon" antics and definitely no garbage match brawls featuring New Jack. Schiavone says he was far too busy doing his own thing in WCW during the 90s, and he didn't think Paul Heyman's product would appeal to him anyway.
