WrestleMania is know industry-wide as the biggest payday a wrestler is likely to receive each year. It's why so many yearn for a spot on the card, and it's why WWE play nice and try to squeeze as many men and women on there as they can. It's a great one-off wage. Just ask Tommy Dreamer.

To date, 'Mania 23 remains his biggest single payday ever.

On his 'House Of Hardcore' podcast, the former ECW favourite recalled working alongside fellow originals The Sandman, RVD and Sabu in 2007. They were in an eight-man tag match against the 'New Breed' of WWE-style ECW stars, and the match went a short and sweet seven minutes. That earned Dreamer $68,000.

Paul Heyman's ex-right hand man couldn't believe it when he received his cheque three months after the show. It was huge to him, and he often wonders how much the losing squad of Elijah Burke, Kevin Thorn, Marcus Cor Von and Matt Striker got for their troubles.
