8. Rosa Mendes Almost Debuted A 'Judgemental Mom' Character

Rosa Mendes wore a lot of hats during her 2006-2017 stint on WWE's books. She was a 'Diva Search' entrant, Beth Phoenix super fan, valet for Zack Ryder, Fandango, The Colóns, Adam Rose and more, and she also worked on the Total Divas reality TV show. Through it all, she barely wrestled a lick.

Maybe that's not totally fair, but Rosa was never known for her in-ring work across her 11-year stay.

When she fell pregnant in 2015, Mendes took maternity leave and postponed her proposed 'It Couple' gimmick with Rose. During a chat with 411's 'Wrestling Interviews' pod, Rosa said she actually pitched a different idea for her return. She wanted to become an overbearing, arrogant and elitist mother who believed she was better than WWE's other women.

At the time, she was legit one of the only mothers on the roster, and Mendes wanted to use that to her advantage. Her soon-to-be-cancelled new character would've been based on Christina Applegate's performance in the 2016 movie 'Bad Moms'.
