9. WWE's "My Sacrifice" Videos Kept Becky Lynch Going

When she wasn't being asked to dance a little Irish jig or smile so much her face might fall off, Becky Lynch was tearing it up in NXT. A favourite of Dusty Rhodes, she worked tirelessly to improve and catch WWE's attention. All her hard work has paid off big time, but NXT wasn't without struggle.

Lynch told The Wrestling Compadres podcast that she fought through car breakdowns, root canal surgery and other stresses regularly. Before that, she'd suffered a crisis of confidence, didn't think she was good enough for WWE and had to rely on watching old WWF "Desire" videos to pull herself through.

Seriously.

Remember that Steve Austin vid that was backed by Creed's "My Sacrifice"? That was particularly useful to Lynch, and it helped her put things into perspective when she heard one of her heroes discuss his own toil to become a star.
