Vince McMahon's friendship with Donald Trump is well-known. Friends since the '80s, the pair have reportedly always had a jovial, almost frat-boy relationship behind the scenes. Bruce Prichard has talked about this on his podcast, and now Gangrel has chimed in to tell his side of the story.

In 1998, ol' Gangers was stoked to wrestle at MSG. He wasn't originally booked, but McMahon personally requested that he be there to work with Kane. To Gangrel, even if he was squashed flat in three minutes, that was the ultimate honour, but there was a hidden reason for McMahon's phone call.

The boss wanted to rib the Donald.

On Chair Shots To The Cranium, Gangrel told how he did his usual (fake) blood-spitting routine from the ring steps and accidentally sprayed Trump with the liquid. Security had been trying to get the future US President back from the barrier, but they were too late.

When Gangrel returned backstage post-match, Stephanie told him her father was very upset by what had happened. He wasn't; he had set the whole thing up and double-ribbed both Trump and his wrestler.
