Wrestling fans should be happy that Cody Rhodes broke free from WWE, because his work on the independent scene and for companies like ROH, WCPW and NJPW has been stellar compared to his bogus Stardust character. Cody is also much more content away from the pressure cooker that is WWE.

Speaking to Metro for a new interview, Rhodes said that he would often speak up against things he didn't agree with in WWE. This often fell on deaf ears, but did come with one unfortunate side effect. Due to the number of times he was outspoken to WWE's creative team, Cody became known as a constant complainer, something he says you don't want to be cast as.

Frustrated by the lack of ideas WWE's writers had for him, Rhodes started to lose interest the longer he played the Stardust gimmick. That came across to those in charge, which is again something Cody realises now but didn't necessarily see happening at the time.
