9. Nick Aldis Turned Down AEW

Nick Aldis
NWA

It's a surprise that Nick Aldis hasn't been signed by WWE over the years given the fact he looks like he's been carved out of stone and would be a Vinnie Mac wet dream. Possessing size, eloquence and an admirable work ethic, Aldis has also put his all into reviving the old NWA brand (Harley Race would be proud) and making it relevant again.

In an interview with Daily DDT, the handsome Brit revealed that he almost went in a totally different direction.

Earlier this year, AEW offered him the chance to jump ship and join their new project. Aldis was interested, but he told All Elite that he'd only accept the contract if it meant he could still work for the NWA. That didn't appeal to the Khan family, Cody or The Young Bucks, and the deal was quickly taken off the table.

Despite effectively knocking back the chance to join AEW's revolution, Aldis is still on good terms with everyone there in upper management. Loyalty isn't too frequent in pro wrestling or business, so Nick should be commended for staying true to his values and keeping his promise to help Billy Corgan and his NWA.
