Drew McIntyre and Dolph Ziggler were directly compared to Kevin Nash and Shawn Michaels when they buddied up on Raw in 2018. People enjoyed the big man/little man dynamic because it allowed Drew to look menacingly cool and Ziggler to run his mouth. The fact both are excellent in-ring workers didn't hurt.

Outside the ring, they were pretty switched on too.

McIntyre told The Wrap what his first thought was when he found out he'd be teaming with Dolph. Within minutes, the big Scotsman identified the positioning of Ziggler's Zig-Zag finisher and realised he could pair it with his own Claymore Kick. That got Drew excited, and he couldn't wait to tell his new partner about the idea.

Dolph loved it, and the team's new finish was born. McIntyre viewed his quick ingenuity as akin to musicians writing their best hit within minutes; he wanted a lasting visual fans could remember the duo by, and he found it with the double-team one-two punch.
