Every young wrestler someday dreams of being considered 'one of the boys'. It's a sense of belonging that makes being part of the industry so appealing. At least, it was to Christian, and that's why he decided to brave face a little meeting with Goldust in Toronto.

On Sean Mooney's Prime Time podcast, 'Captain Charisma' said the WWF roster weren't even doing a show in the city. They were simply passing through and having a few drinks at a local hotel, and that's when Christian decided to strike. In hindsight, he made a fool of himself.

Christian tapped Goldust on the shoulder and uttered "kayfabe?" when he turned round. Goldie looked at his future peer quizzically, probably because he didn't know he was or why he was saying random wrestling terminology to him. To break the silence, Christian came out with more cringe by saying, "It's OK, I'm a worker".

At the time, he was, albeit on the indies. Years later when both were in WWE, Goldust wanted to know if he'd been rude to Christian.
