5. Bubba-Ray Dudley's Weird Vince McMahon Story

The boss doesn't have time for those who don't seize opportunity however.

On Jim Ross' podcast, Bubba-Ray Dudley told a story about one unlikely convo with McMahon on the road. In a surprising moment (certainly to Bubba), Vince pulled him aside and revealed his distaste when "the boys" get leverage or power over him then refuse to use it to their advantage. In other words, McMahon respects ruthlessness and expects it from his top guys.

He then pointed out that such instances are rare, and there have been some who have let him down by refusing to snatch the chance to flaunt their influence. This must have been a strange, strange conversation for Dudley.

Bubba only brought it up to illustrate his point that stars like John Cena are able to tell McMahon they won't do as they're told (he was talking about Cena refusing to work in Saudi Arabia at Crown Jewel). It seems Vinnie Mac is mindful of who has the clout to veto his decisions.
