Edge vs. Dolph Ziggler, from the 2011 Royal Rumble, is something of a forgotten classic. It's the kind of match that you forgot a few hours after it concluded, but exactly the sort you should endeavour to fire up on the WWE Network now. Both men involved wholeheartedly agree.

Working with Dolph and helping him gain credibility with fans was something Edge wanted to do for a long time, and he managed to convince creative that it was a good idea for that year's Rumble. Afterwards, Edge personally approached Vince McMahon behind the scenes and told him just how good Ziggler had been to work with. He told this story to Dolph himself on the E&C Pod Of Awesomeness.

This endorsement is something Dolph has always been thankful for. Even though both men had become friendly on the road long before then, he realises that a veteran like Edge didn't need to go to bat for him so soon after the match, let alone to the boss.
