Listen to any episode of Tony Schiavone's 'What Happened When' podcast and you'll be sure to hear him regret leaving the WWF in 1990. Though WCW's lead announcer only spent around one year working under Vince McMahon, he considers it the best period of his career. How's that for a slap in the face to WCW fans?

During an interview with the Duke Love Rasslin show, Schiavone talked about his work as production staff for McMahon. One of Tony's core jobs (aside from announcing) was producing VHS tapes using archive material, and it was a task he dearly loved. In fact, Schiavone says he learned more about the business doing that for 12 months than he did in WCW for over a decade.

Citing the WWF's more professional approach to editing, post-production and camera techniques, Tony claimed his work in WCW could never come close. In a single year, he was able to soak in so much knowledge that it made his lengthier Atlanta run seem dull.
