After leaving WWE, CM Punk sat down with real-life friend Colt Cabana for an in-depth interview about his time in the organisation. Somewhere in between lambasting Triple H, Vince McMahon and others, Punk was critical of Ryback and how heavy-handed the man was during matches.

Talking to Kevin Eck for PressBoxOnline, Ryback refrained from firing back at his former peer. Instead, 'The Big Guy' admitted that Punk seemed a little tired and beat up when they had their run together in 2012. Culminating in a Hell In A Cell match at the pay-per-view of the same name in October of that year, Punk and Ryback worked a physical style.

That's something Ryback appreciates, and he claimed this week he'd even apologise to Punk if he ever ran into him again. At the same time, Ryback would tell the former WWE Champion that he didn't enjoy hearing the Colt Cabana interview.

Feeling Punk's comments about him were harsh, Ryback nonetheless understands that he could have been lighter on his former opponent during their feud.
