1. The Rock Was Originally Supposed To Kiss Vince McMahon's Ass

To date, there are six members of Vince McMahon's esteemed 'Kiss My Ass Club'. William Regal, Jim Ross, Shawn Michaels, Shane McMahon, Mick Foley and Hornswoggle (in that order) have all had the dubious distinction of pecking Vinnie Mac on the buns. Someone else almost beat them to it.

The Rock, of all people.

Yes, it's true. In 1998, shortly after he'd won the WWF Title at Survivor Series and linked up with Vince as part of The Corporation, Rocky was almost penned to literally kiss McMahon ass. Bruce Prichard, on his Something To Wrestle With podcast, said he and Pat Patterson were keen to protest against the idea as hard as they could.

To both, it seemed ridiculous that a red-hot character like The Rock was would be publicly humiliated just as he was getting over, and they let Vince know it. Worse, the typical, future 'Kiss My Ass' set-up (Vince looking to humble a renegade babyface or put someone in their place) wasn't already-established.
