5. Billy Gunn Helped Tyler Breeze With 'Showmanship'
Tyler Breeze is someone WWE management are apparently very high on. Promoted from NXT to the WWE main roster, the blonde grappler has struggled somewhat to really gain traction since doing so. A feud opposite Dolph Ziggler has felt a little piecemeal, and the initial buzz of his debut has worn off. This is something most fans blame the writing team for, more so than the wrestler. It took Breeze a while to find his feet in the company to begin with. It's been documented before that Xavier Woods helped him pitch the 'Prince Pretty' character in the first place, but it was a long time WWE veteran who aided Breeze in feeling more comfortable. Billy Gunn is someone Tyler credits for teaching him how to fit characterisation on top of a solid wrestling ability. In The Charleston Post this week, Breeze states that Gunn was extremely patient with him in NXT. Showmanship was something the former tag-team star was quick to point out was crucial in catching the eyes of WWE's most important. Without that advice and training, Breeze says he would likely have continued to struggle to make an impact.
