10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Dec 8)

6. Jimmy Fallon Told Brad Maddox He Had 'Made It' With Turkey Tombstone

Shortly before he was fired by the promotion, Brad Maddox made a final televised appearance on WWE duty outside of the company. In early-November, Maddox dressed as a turkey and was nailed with a Tombstone Piledriver by The Undertaker on an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Mere weeks later, he was released from his WWE contract by the organisation. Appearing on Ring Rust Radio, Maddox once again told the reasons why he had been terminated. Using the word, 'pricks' during a dark match promo on a Smackdown taping, management were furious with him behind the curtain. The comment directly led to his dismissal. In the same interview with the radio show, Maddox also recanted a humourous exchange with Jimmy Fallon on the set of his show. Rehearsing the sequence for the cameras before the studio audience were brought in, Maddox shared a few words with Fallon. The entertainer told him he had now made it in the entertainment industry, due to his appearance on the show. The irony of only getting to work with The Undertaker for a goofy, non-WWE TV skit was not lost on the wrestler, who nonetheless found the situation worthwhile.
