A clear parody of WCW's well-received New World Order burst onto ECW programming in 1996 and is forever remembered as one of the promotion's most entertaining ideas. Stevie Richards, Nova and The Blue Meanie were the men involved, playing the roles of 'Big Stevie Cool', 'Hollywood Nova' and 'Da Blue Guy' respectively.

Dubbed the 'Blue World Order' due to Meanie's colour of choice, the self-styled bWo faction proved a hit with fans, but ECW's hardcore crowds weren't the only ones who appreciated it; backstage at WCW events, none other than Scott Hall was a fan of the tribute and would routinely rib Kevin Nash about the bWo.

The Blue Meanie revealed this to Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard, disclosing to the site that Hall told him all about his fondness years later. Laughing, the nWo member recalled winding up Nash about 'Da Blue Guy' being the leader of the bWo, going on to say that he should thus be head of the nWo because Meanie's character was a homage to his Razor Ramon gimmick.

Meanie is surprised to this day that the real nWo even caught wind of the ECW tribute.
