10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Feb 10)
3. Randy Savage Was Miffed With His WWF Action Figure
Nowadays, countless wrestling fans collect hundreds (if not thousands, in some cases) of action figures. These plastic representations of wrestling's biggest stars have become commonplace in the industry, but that wasn't the case back in the early-1980's; it wasn't until LJN made WWF toys in 1984 that action figures became a merchandise staple in the industry.
Only too happy to discuss a time when he was over in the then-WWF (and often hilarious during such interviews), Virgil joined The Memorabilia Guy to talk about the differences between those first figures and later variations released by LJN and Hasbro.
Comically revealing what his peers thought about the toys, Virgil shared that Randy Savage was left perplexed upon seeing one of his action figures.
Well-known for his paranoia, the bombastic 'Macho Man' wasn't too pleased that one of his figures had smaller muscles than some of the other stars LJN were moulding into plastic.
It's unclear whether or not Savage was being light-hearted with such confusion, although there's something funny about the thought of him getting hot about a child's toy.
