During an episode of his Bischoff On Wrestling show, ex-WCW chief Eric Bischoff answered a fan question by saying The Honky Tonk Man was his favourite career firing. It was only a matter of time before Honky himself was made aware of this, and the subject came up during the Elvis impersonator's own appearance on the Wrestling With Ideas podcast.

Signed by WCW in 1994, Honky Tonk only worked with the company briefly, challenging Johnny B. Badd for the Television Title before departing. That was the man's only feud of any significance in the promotion.

To his credit, Honky refused to bash Bischoff during his own podcast interview, instead admiring his ex-boss for telling it to him straight back in '94; according to the wrestler himself, 'Easy E' walked up to Honky Tonk Man and said he wasn't a fan of the Elvis gimmick at all. In fact, he hated it.

From that point on things were never going to work out, yet Honky claims he still doesn't hold a grudge against Bischoff or WCW.
