10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Feb 12)

3. Sean Waltman Made 5x More In DX Than The nWo

Sean Waltman has become one of the most remarkably honest members of the pro wrestling fraternity. He's refreshingly candid about his own mistakes and his own ability as a pro wrestler, so it's hard to discount his words on the most recent episode of the Jim Ross podcast. During the chat, Waltman was asked by a fan about his time in both D-Generation X and the nWo. Basically, the question posed asked the wrestler which faction he enjoyed being part of most. Again being honest, the former X-Pac and Syxx said that it would have to be DX, simply because he had the opportunity to earn more money from that group. That makes sense, because X-Pac was an important member of the faction for a few years in the then-WWF of the late-1990's. Stunningly, Waltman estimates that he made as much as 5 times the amount in D-Generation as he did during his association with the New World Order. Once again, that adds up, because he was part of DX for much longer than he was the nWo. Still, it does show differences between merchandising in the WWF and WCW around that time.
