Anybody who watched WWF programming throughout the 1980's and into the early-1990's will remember the 'Mouth Of The South' Jimmy Hart as a consistent ringside pest. Armed with his trademark megaphone, the manager would use his high-pitched voice to irritate fans and build resentment for his wrestlers during matches.

Appearing on Legends With JBL for the WWE Network allowed Jimmy to reveal exactly where the 'Mouth Of The South' nickname came from. Surprisingly, it wasn't an announcer like Gorilla Monsoon or a creative mind like Vince McMahon who created it, Jimmy's moniker was handed to him accidentally years before.

During a radio appearance with Andy Kaufman, the squeaky manager just wouldn't shut up. DJ Ron Olson was trying to ask Kaufman a question, but he was unable to keep his cool when Hart continually ran his mouth.

Casually, the DJ slipped in that Kaufman might be able to get a word in if the 'Mouth Of The South' over there (referring to Jimmy) would keep quiet. After that, a grateful Hart kept the name.
