Acting as bruisers over in Japan came naturally to Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson, as did establishing themselves as one of the best tag teams in the entire industry via their work in NJPW. It was only a matter of time before WWE took notice, and the promotion eventually hired the team in early 2016.

Things haven't been 100% smooth for Gallows and Anderson; since splitting from AJ Styles following the WWE Draft, they have played the role of doctors, 'retirement workers' and subsequently dabbled in too much comedy for some fans.

According to Anderson himself, this has never been a bone of contention for the team, because they recognise that WWE favours entertainment.

Granting an interview to Busted Open Radio, a positive Karl Anderson said that the duo have even broken down in laughter several times when trying to film comedic segments; in particular, carrying around Big E's 'eggs' in a jar was something Anderson found funny.

They did catch some heat backstage after the awful 'Old Day' skit in September fell flat, but Anderson claims Gallows and himself have enjoyed their WWE run thus far.
