At time of publishing, Matt Hardy has a mere 10 days left on his WWE contract.

During a back-and-forth with fans on Twitter, Matt revealed that he's not worried about life outside Vince McMahon's walls. It's not hard to see why, in fairness. Hardy has been able to thrive away from WWE before, and he's smart enough to make a buck for himself on the indy circuit without McMahon's machine behind him.

After tweeting about how comfortable he was with leaving, Hardy responded to one fan's claim that his remarks were "passive aggressive" and said he's a "born survivalist". He is, and it's not like there's any real place for him on the current WWE roster anyway. Nobody wants another tag-team like the one with Bray Wyatt.

So, unless something changes, Matt will be a free man on 4 March. Does this mean a stint in AEW is incoming? Watch this space.
