When you're already a huge star in Mexico, why bother lugging stupid robot gear around in the United States?

That was a question Konnan asked himself during the brief period he played WWE's Max Moon character in the early-90s. Before Paul Diamond assumed the role of Vince McMahon's man from outer space with the colourful outfits, one of Mexico's finest absolutely despised it.

During an interview with Sports Illustrated, Konnan admitted that he hated flying to Los Angeles (before catching a connecting flight to WWF shows) just so he could pick up the robotic ensemble used for Moon's entrance. According to K-Dog, his stint with the goofy gimmick was never going to last.

Though it's common knowledge that Konnan didn't enjoy playing Moon, it's not widely-known that he had to go pick up the silly Transformer-like entrance attire himself. Surely it would've made much more sense for the WWF to carry that around instead.
