It's often mind-blowing to think that Terry Funk has been wrestling on and off since 1965. The legend may have retired numerous times from in-ring action, but he always seems to return when people least expect it.

The actual industry itself has obviously morphed and changed substantially since the mid-1960's, and that's a fact not lost on the hardcore icon; Funk has witnessed an awful lot of change since he started wrestling, and has watched his beloved business evolve across an unbelievable 6 decades.

Despite his passion for wrestling, the question remains: does Terry Funk still sit down to watch wrestling in 2017?

An interview with Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard revealed the answer. In typically romantic form, the ageing Funk said that he simply loves wrestling "too much" to watch it nowadays; interestingly, Terry didn't disparage WWE or what the industry represents today, and he even praised the promotion for producing at the box office even when kayfabe is dead.

Most veterans would offer up a stock answer claiming that wrestling isn't as special as it once was, but Terry avoided that kind of approach, instead hinting that it hurts him not to be involved today.
