10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (Feb 6)

9. Ex-ECW Star Doesn't Watch Anymore

Raven Site Except of course, for this man. Fondly-remembered as a unique and dynamic character, Raven was a remarkable shift for Scott Levy, who had previously been playing the role of colourful loudmouth manager Johnny Polo in the early-90's WWF. Moving over to Paul Heyman's ECW, the twisted persona of Raven became infamous, eventually leading the man to stints in both WCW and WWE. A few years ago, Levy was outspoken against the scripting of promos for wrestlers, feeling it stifled creativity, and felt forced. Hitting hard again, the artist formerly known as Raven admits he no longer watches pro wrestling, because he doesn't find it quite as interesting as it used to be. €œI don't watch it at all, I don't have any favorites", Raven said during a recent interview. "It's just not the same, it€™s worse in my opinion. It€™s interesting, there is probably a higher level of athleticism than there has ever been, but it is much less interesting, which is why wrestling is sports entertainment, not just a sport. The story telling isn€™t there these days.€ Raven was always reliable for great promos, something WWE could sure use a hand with today. Would someone like Scott Levy be a viable employee for the company, specifically to help bring out the verbal best in talent?
