Count Chris Jericho out for WrestleMania 35 season, because Y2J just put his name on the dotted line for All Elite Wrestling. His appearance at the Double Or Nothing rally came as a nice surprise, and it was a stellar way to end the press conference. Still, it'd be easy to imagine Vince McMahon was fuming when he heard the news.

He wasn't.

Jericho told Busted Open Radio this week that he had an "amicable" discussion with Vince about his future plans. Before showing up in Jacksonville, Y2J made sure to let his old boss know what he had in mind; he wasn't asking for permission, but Jericho wanted to show McMahon respect and let him know ahead of time.

That meant the WWE head didn't get a nasty shock when one of his biggest stars showed up to pledge his allegiance to AEW along with Cody and The Young Bucks. Jericho very much views his role as the legend who can put AEW on the map.
