Jerry 'The King' Lawler will always be cherished for his contributions to the commentary table during the 'Attitude Era'. Alongside Jim Ross, Lawler was on top form as he narrated the action and cheered on the heels. Nowadays, the King has been phased out and only appears sporadically.

One of his latest on screen showings came during the January 17 edition of SmackDown Live. Hosting an update of his old King's Court interview segment, Lawler was hit with a Superkick to the chest by Dolph Ziggler.

Telling the Cerrito Live Podcast all about his excitement upon being told of the segment, Lawler also revealed how he went digging back home for some familiar items. For his return to the Court, Jerry wanted to wear the same crown and royal robe that he had done during the 1990's.

In the end, that's exactly what the legend did. Finding his old gear, Lawler dressed in the exact same attire fans had witnessed him wear during infamous King's Court segments of the past. William Shatner would have been proud.
