For close to 20 years, wrestling fans have been giggling at the idea of a 'fake' Razor Ramon once being deemed passable in the WWF. Rewind to 1996 though and Vince McMahon believed nobody would have a problem if he introduced a bogus version of the character to replace Scott Hall.

The man chosen was Rick Bognar. Up until now focus has been on how silly the concept was, few have taken the time to wonder what Bognar felt during his tenure playing the 'Bad Guy'. Granting an interview to ESPN, Rick opened up on the gimmick that failed to help him transition full time into the United States.

Working abroad in Japan with some success, Bognar hoped to use the Ramon guise to land a lengthy gig in the WWF. As soon as he got there however, the man realised that the idea was never going to work as intended.

In the end, Rick Bognar says he felt let down by McMahon and the WWF. Cast out within months, he was typecast as the 'fake' Razor.
