One of the most respected professional wrestlers across the globe, Jushin 'Thunder' Liger has inspired literally hundreds of performers across an incredible career spanning over four different decades. There's a reason Liger is considered one of the best Junior Heavyweights in Japanese wrestling history, he has had a huge impact on the North American independent scene.

Companies like Ring Of Honor and others were directly influenced by Liger's style in New Japan Pro Wrestling. Some of that group's top stars from years past, like Bryan Danielson and Davey Richards, count Liger as one of the best of all time.

Danielson would go on to have great success in WWE as Daniel Bryan, and Liger told Sports Illustrated this week of his admiration for the now-retired fan favourite. In a nice moment, he said that wrestling Bryan had made him truly happy, and that his younger peer actually reminded him of a wrestling great.

When working with Bryan, Liger was reminded of Eddie Guerrero, something the current Raw General Manager must take as a serious compliment. Jushin was referring more to Bryan's in-ring style than his personality.
