In 1993, Shawn Michaels was looking for something that would add an extra layer to his heel persona. Head-hunting Kevin Nash, he managed to convince the big man to leave WCW and join the WWF. Instantly, Nash transformed into the mammoth Diesel, acting as a bodyguard for the more diminutive Michaels.

Talking to Vince Russo for his podcast recently, Nash said that he gets frustrated when he watches Dolph Ziggler work in WWE. Even though he admires Ziggler's ability, he feels he needs that little extra nuance to really help him excel. Also, Nash feels Dolph would be much more effective as a heel.

When pressed by Russo, Nash said he would love to bring the Diesel character back and work alongside Ziggler. Remarking that fans always ask if he'd come back for one more run, Nash said he'd do so as a bodyguard character instead of a wrestler.

The most interesting part of Nash's rant came when he said he wouldn't talk in promos, because Dolph should have that spotlight. Instead, he'd just watch his back and help him cheat to win.
