5. The Live Crowd Messed With Dolph Ziggler's Head At Extreme Rules

"I know it really messed with Dolph. He was super out of synch from how he normally is".

Those were Seth Rollins' words to Lilian Garcia on the ex-ring announcer's Chasing Glory podcast recently, and they show just how much fan unrest played havoc with Dolph's mind at Extreme Rules. He couldn't concentrate on making the Iron Man Match as good as he wanted due to aforementioned Royal Rumble buzzer calls and general hubbub coming from the stands.

Some fans watching at home took to social media afterwards and criticised the Pittsburgh crowd for entertaining themselves during the pay-per-view's main event instead of focusing on how hard the headliners were working.

In fairness to those in attendance, the show was a long one, didn't feature many great matches and had long-since sapped their energy by the time Ziggler and Rollins were in the ring. That unrest wobbled Dolph's usual confidence, and Seth had to keep his own head in the game to stop their main event from falling apart towards the end.
