When asked about her sexuality in interviews, Sonya Deville is nothing but honest. Growing up, she found coming out difficult. Until embracing her lifestyle aged 17, she dated guys because she thought that was "normal", and she was desperate to fit in. Now, she's on a two-part mission: inspire youth without shoving her sexuality down their throats.

She totally wants a rainbow title on TV however.

In a refreshing interview with WWE.com, Sonya said those rainbow colours mean the world to youngsters who are trapped in denial. If she, as a role model, if written to win a championship and proudly display the Pride colours as part of it, then it'll send a message of hope to those people.

Paving the way for future LGBTQ+ athletes is less about forcing her sexuality on others than it is about giving confidence to those who struggled with their sexuality like she did. What do you say, WWE? A customised rainbow-coloured Women's Title would look pretty nifty.
