A rare example of self-promotion leading to brilliance in today's WWE, The New Day have managed to create something truly unique in the company. Big E, Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston have combined a natural likability with their own range of little nuances (unicorn horns, 'Booty' etc) to become one of the most popular acts around.

It's difficult to envision the trio as anything other than what they are now, but according to Big E, things could have been very different. Indeed, whilst speaking to the Vegas Seven and promoting upcoming WWE events, the New Day member let slip that someone else was supposed to be in the group.

As friends behind the scenes, the threesome wanted to add Sasha Banks to their midst, turning it into a more well-rounded faction than a tag-team unit. As Banks is rumoured to be unhappy about the direction of the women's division at the moment, this is something 'The Boss' would probably welcome right now.

Management apparently weren't so receptive to the idea, because they wanted to keep Big E, Kofi and Woods as they are.
