During the introduction to this article, it was said that Chris Jericho grew up idolising Shawn Michaels. Most pro wrestling fans know this to be true, because Y2J has been very candid about his admiration for HBK in official WWE documentaries and his own series of autobiographies.

In the Summer of 2002, Michaels returned to full-time action with the organisation, defying medical advice and opinion over what was thought to be a career-ending back injury. After 4 years on the shelf, he looked as good as new in matches against the likes of Triple H and others. Come WrestleMania XIX, he was scheduled to lock horns with Jericho.

Appearing on ESPN this week, Jericho delivered an eye-opening revelation regarding the infamous match. Instead of taking weeks or even months to plan, Michaels and Jericho put together their classic in around 20 minutes.

That's insane, because the match lasted longer than that, clocking in at just over 22 minutes in length. It's incredible to think that such a great bout actually lasted longer in execution than it took to lay it out beforehand.
