This fast fact comes via @WWEStats on Twitter. The excellent account often throws up amazing stats and figures nobody else thinks of. Here's an example of that.

After winning back-to-back '2 Out Of 3 Falls' matches on this past week's Raw and SmackDown shows, Kofi Kingston made history. He's the first superstar since Tony Garea in 1981 to achieve two shut-out 2-0 victories in that match type on WWF/WWE television. What's more, Kofi managed it in just 24 hours.

Both of Garea's matches fell three years apart.

WWE often prefer to book '2 Out Of 3 Falls' as a 2-1 win rather than 2-0 because it builds drama if there's a deciding, 'sudden death' fall at the end. This week, they decided to spice things up by having The New Day destroy Baron Corbin, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn then Kofi and Seth Rollins besting KO and Zayn on Raw and SmackDown.
