10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (June 26)
4. Rumours Surround Dolph Ziggler Leaving WWE
Within a matter of months, Dolph Ziggler's current contract with World Wrestling Entertainment will come to an end. It'd make sense if both parties managed to thrash out a new deal, because Dolph is one of the more consistently-entertaining wrestlers on the promotion's regular programming, but there are stunning rumours that the bleach-blonde performer is ready to walk away from the company altogether. If true, these rumours suggest that Ziggler would be interested in seeing what he could do in New Japan Pro Wrestling, possibly also raking it in by making special one-off appearances in the UK and other countries. Of course, this is all speculation, conjecture that would be put to bed immediately should the man put pen to paper on a new WWE deal, but it's fascinating nonetheless. During recent stand-up comedy appearances, Ziggler has joked about "retirement", but stories have been popping up online that the guy may be far too intrigued by proving himself outside of the WWE bubble. As a company, WWE should be doing everything they can to tie Dolph Ziggler up to a long-term deal, because he's one of the best talents they have.
