10 Wrestling Facts We Didn't Know Last Week (June 26)

3. Vince Russo Offered To Work With TNA For Free

A master at keeping himself in the headlines, former WWE chief writer, WCW booker and TNA creative team member Vince Russo has once again opened the eyes of many with one recent blog post. Self-aggrandising claims are Russo's bread and butter, that's something which has become very much prevalent over the years, but it's virtually impossible to not pay attention to what the man says. His most recent assertion is that he reached out to TNA and offered to work with the company free of charge, offering his expertise and help in turning the ship around. Obviously, this is a pretty random claim, because there's nothing to suggest that Vince Russo's ideas are ones which could make TNA a player once more. To this day, Russo remains great friends with Jeff Jarrett, who has just returned to TNA. It's unlikely that Jarrett has the same kind of power he once did in the promotion, but could he pave the way for a Vince Russo return? The writer said that only Billy Corgan replied to his email offering his services, and it seems that Dixie Carter isn't remotely interested in bringing him back into the fold.
