On the June 1 episode of WWE's Main Event show, Sasha Banks picked up a routine win over Summer Rae. That's Sasha's first televised match since an episode of Monday Night Raw in April, because 'The Boss' has largely been on the injured list with a concussion.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Banks was previously scheduled to feud with Rae before her injury woes. Such a program would have ended in victory for the popular babyface, who is poised to challenge Charlotte for the WWE Women's Title at some point in the near future. Most have SummerSlam marked down for that collision.

Whilst Charlotte has been pre-occupied with Natayla and aligning with Dana Brooke, Sasha would have handled Summer in a short rivalry and gained some momentum along the way. Sadly, it wasn't to be, but there's still time for WWE to pick the rivalry back up and use it going forward into Money In The Bank.

There's little doubt that Rae is the kind of female on the roster best used as cannon fodder for those WWE are serious about pushing, so few would take issue with Banks beating her.
