9. The Mean Street Posse Weren't Expecting Payment For WrestleMania XV

Of all the stables that WWE have used over the years, The Mean Street Posse may be one of the most overlooked; part of this has to do with the fact that neither Pete Gas or Rodney were actual pro wrestlers before entering the then-WWF, and only Joey Abs was a worker before the group were introduced.

Real-life friends of Shane McMahon, Gas and Rodney were there to act as muscle for their pal on television and add to the spoiled brat characteristics Shane was using in the lead up to WrestleMania XV.

Granting an interview to The Memorabilia Guy, Gas said it was a complete blast to appear at 'Mania and in a featured spot on television, but also claimed he didn't believe the Posse gimmick would last beyond the March, 1999 pay-per-view.

Much to the stable's surprise then, a thankful Shane McMahon called them into his office shortly after WrestleMania and handed each man an envelope. This was their payment for doing Shane a favour, something Gas didn't expect.

He'd been happy just to help a buddy out, and was then shocked when McMahon asked if they could take sabbaticals from their full-time jobs to work on the road.
