2. Freddie Prinze Jr Pitched A Kofi Kingston Gauntlet 10 Years Ago

Fans who were watching WWE in 2009 will know how good Kofi Kingston was back then. He barely put a foot wrong during his feud with Randy Orton, and it was actually petulance from 'The Viper' that ended up costing Kofi a main event run in 2010. Oh well, he's making up for it now with this 'KofiMania' business that's sweeping SmackDown.

Next week, Kofi will face Orton, Samoa Joe, The Bar and Rowan in a Vince McMahon-endorsed Gauntlet. Sounds like an original story, doesn't it? Kingston, who has been vying for years to prove himself, must run the trial to seize WrestleMania glory. In Freddie Prinze Jr's mind, it's anything but original.

Shortly after SmackDown aired on Tuesday, the Hollywood actor and short-lived WWE creative member posted on Twitter that he'd pitched the exact same angle a decade ago. Sadly for Freddie, his Kofi-inspired pleas fell on "deaf ears" when he mentioned it at WWE HQ.

Better late than never.
