Those pops Roman Reigns got on this past Monday's Raw must've been music to WWE's ears. That's the kind of responses they've wanted for Roman all along, and now he has them. Sure, it took a life-threatening illness to get there, but people have been touched by Reigns' story. Finally, they've decided to like him.

Backstage, everybody already does.

Ex-WWE writer Kazeem Famuyide tweeted his thoughts on Roman's return then remembered the first time he worked with the 'Big Dog'. Famuyide was in charge of producing a backstage promo between Reigns and Charly Caruso, and he scrambled for an excuse when Roman said he wanted to end the interview with a cuss word.

That was a big no no to the writers; they were under strict orders not to let it happen, but Reigns was determined. After asking Kazeem, he went off to speak with Vince McMahon and get the green light. When he returned, Roman said he made sure not to say it was the writer's idea, just something he wanted to do and thanked Famuyide for looking out for him.

What a guy.
